Throughout our history, there has always been a desire for family members and survivors to be able to share their story and their story alone is something that all of us need to do now.
“A Memory of Veterans” is a special tribute show to seven episodes that air on Fox41-TV and Fox4 KC.
This special show chronicles how these individuals felt about the great vets of our past and how they dealt with the difficulties of living with the memories and losses they experienced.
In this episode, “All Four Directions of Remembrance”, honoring those who served and sacrificed in all the various wars with the exception of the Civil War, is introduced. This segment starts with 20 veterans from various wars, presenters, and commentators. Military members from your local area also appear to deliver thoughtful remarks, with veteran Steve Hannegan, FPCO, USMC taking on the task for this segment.
This presentation also includes families and comrades of some deceased veterans and it’s amazing how the similarities of their stories reflect that they all suffered the same losses and cared the same way about their fellow men and women in their service.
As this show goes on and continues into our national memory and all stories will be fresh in all of our minds for many years to come, the stories reveal many similarities, learning these stories as a tribute show is very rewarding to us, as a station, as an organization, and even as individuals.
