Here at the BBC we like to celebrate stories of people who go the extra mile to help others.
And we are pleased to be one of the media organisations to team up with CNN in this massive appeal to uncover new and impressive examples of human good.
This week we’ll be revealing the 10 CNN Heroes of 2019 live on air at 8pm UK time on BBC World Service.
Ruairi Coogan will be telling their stories and introducing you to some of the people behind them.
And because this is such a global appeal, we’re asking you to help us decide who we think deserves to be crowned as the top hero of 2019.
We want you to send us your votes – we will be updating this page and publishing it on 30 April 2019.
But if you want to show your support directly, simply use the form at the bottom of this page.
How to vote
You can vote for 10 different CNN Heroes of 2019.
You can choose from nine heroes selected by CNN, and one honour was chosen by the public.
Once you’ve chosen your nominees, all you have to do is fill in the form below.
For the public award – it is open to one person who has worked on behalf of people in need all over the world in the last 12 months.
To be entered, tell us what this person has done to help others.
Remember, only one entry per person is allowed.
Only one nomination for one hero will be accepted.
Remember to add your vote once to every 10 candidates you’ve selected by 6pm BST on 30 April 2019.
And don’t forget to fill in the short form box – it doesn’t need to be too long as they all qualify!
We will now contact the nominees as soon as we have received your vote!
We are in awe of CNN’s 2018 award winners.
