A Cuneta cowboy always has a cow at his or her side…until it’s a load of stolen cows. Those cows, of course, then decide to hide in the most unlikely places. That all leads to a chase that takes characters from different worlds into some pretty crazy territory. Tune in tonight at 9pm ET on Tribune Network to watch the second season premiere of “Tick, Tick … Boom!”!
Somewhere deep inside Tampa’s Vice District, Cristobal (Yu Shu-Lien) is stealing cattle from the region and running off to places like Singapore. Who does he pick up in this way? Cristobal’s pup, Sweetie (Maria Wharton), who apparently can do all sorts of tricks with his bull (Petey Ramos). Meanwhile, a lot of fake sheriffs are showing up on Cristobal’s tail, or as O’Byrne puts it, the ghost of Robin de Jesús is doing the Sheriffs’ bidding.
There’s a lot to worry about in Tick, Tick … Boom!, and that’s just in Episode 1. Episode 2 will show exactly what Robin’s friend/rival, Las Cutwicks (Larrie Millette), has been up to. Vegas fans will want to tune in to this, as Robin and Archie (Archie Villalobos) will explore possible new territory.
The star is real-life horse rider Robin de Jesús, who provides the voice of Cristobal for the three little pigs, Nutty Buddy, and a number of other roles on the series. When Robin isn’t performing voiceover work, he serves as the APA program director for recording artists and manages the Artist Management Center. He’s also a producer, songwriter, and performer.
Produced and written by Jason Skolner, “Tick, Tick … Boom!” is distributed worldwide by Tribune Media Company’s Ambient Film Productions. Craig Knizek serves as executive producer and the series is edited by Vikram Dhar and directed by Trevor Schoonover.
