What is Kadeena Cox?
Kadeena Cox is a Paralympic wheelchair athlete from Yorkshire who won silver in the 50km race in the London 2012 Paralympics. She represented Team GB at the IPC World Championships in Doha in 2016, finishing 12th in the women’s T13 race.
Was Kadeena Cox on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! ?
Yes, she was. She reached the semi-final of the show, finishing third in her heat before losing out to eventual winner Nick Knowles. Cox had only been up for her wildcard spot at the time of the announcement on Friday, 11 April 2016 – it is not known when or where she went into the jungle.
Did she have an unconventional background?
Absolutely. Cox was born in London and raised in Nottingham until her 17th birthday. From 14, she took part in national cricket competitions as part of a disability men’s team for whom she was captain and vice-captain.
What did she do next?
Channel 4 said Cox was chosen for I’m a Celebrity because she had “burned her bridges with a range of antagonists in the past, but that’s ultimately what makes her the biggest star she could be”.
It’s also said she had been running one of the UK’s biggest routes on a road bike for much of her life – her 7.5km route at Nottingham’s GMG Regional Headquarters is described as a “classic cycling route”, although she believes she has made much bigger strides. She came seventh in her final race, a bike race around Stonehenge, on the night of the final on 1 November 2016.
Who are her most famous moments?
In August 2016, Kadeena Cox was given a hero’s welcome as she arrived home to the UK after completing her qualifying test for the Rio Paralympics. She won an olympic bronze medal in the T44 event in Rio last August
Another one of her most famous moments came in February 2016 when she was named as one of the UK’s nominations for the US Presidential Election.

Ruth Langsford: The This Morning presenter and book publisher went into the jungle in 2015, finishing ninth.

Katie Price: The model appeared on the show in 2004. She was eliminated in the second week.
