The princess recently announced she is expecting her second child. She is married to Prince Albert of Monaco, and they have two children.

Accidents in Monaco

With Princess Charlene of Monaco’s pregnancy now announced, we look back at her close calls with health problems.

August 2007: The Princess of Monaco is a passenger in a car involved in a car accident.

Eighteen months later in August 2008: A small plane crashes into Princess Charlene’s home, killing all four on board. The Princess of Monaco has four black eyes, cuts, and abrasions from the accident.

October 2014: The Princess of Monaco crashes her car near Monaco’s airport, reportedly while driving home from a charity event. This is a violation of Monaco law and she could be fined up to $40,000.

January 2016: The Princess of Monaco attends an event in London, England, where she suffers from a high fever and exhaustion, as well as leg cramps and food poisoning. She becomes so sick that she is unable to board a plane for Britain, and cancels the event.

March 2016: During her pregnancy with twins, Princess Charlene is rushed to the hospital after having a seizure. After a long recovery, she gives birth to a healthy baby boy and baby girl.
